# What is VMG Software?

Our core business is Software Development.

VMG is an acronym for Vehicle Management Group. We serve the independent retail motor Industry of
South Africa with comprehensive and easy-to-use Dealership and Workshop Management Software
(DMS / WMS).

Our software eco-system helps our customers, and their teams streamline and centralise their admin,
accounting, web management, crm/lsm and mobile application needs of our customers. Access to the
vast amounts of data generated by Dealerships and Workshops is made instantly available through a
very wide and comprehensive array of reports and stats pages.

VMG was registered in 2007 and at the start of 2022 we are privileged to serve almost 500 dealership
branches and workshops nationally. Our small team of 31, help build products and provide support to
our users.

The VMG team delivers one on one shoulder to shoulder training for all users who are then further and
proudly supported by our amazing support and frontline team members.

## IN THE BEGINNING

In 2006, our founding member Tony Green, owned a small but successful software development
company named AMG Computing. AMG Computing developed software for small and medium sized
businesses.

During a game of golf, Tony was asked to develop a system to help a dealer in Cape Town eliminate the
massive duplication of data being experienced through the use of Excel spreadsheets, stock cards, OTP
and Invoice books and Pastel at their dealership.

A few months later an invoicing and profit per reporting system was developed and the early stages of
VMG had been born. (Thank you Morné).

Within a few weeks, other dealers started to contact Tony to ask him if they could also use the same
system. These requests continue today with word of mouth being our primary sales driver.
There are many wonderful adventures that VMG can share, but those stories for another time.

## ABOUT VMG

VMG Software has served the South African Motor Trade since 2007 and as of 2025, cares for over
500 satisfied Dealership and Workshop branches.

Our management team consists of business consultants, analysts, developers, accountants,
procurement specialists, all of whom have built a solid background in the automotive industry and have
combined experience of more than 100 years.

VMG Dealership and Workshop Management Software caters for every administrative requirement your
dealership, workshop and parts business may need to operate more efficiently.

Our customers do not just invest in our software, but also into solid business processes and peace of
mind.

VMG Software products are built by the trade for the trade. Our support and frontline teams listen very
closely to our customers’ needs and wants and our development team delivers the necessary changes to
suit our customers’ requirements.

Our Software products are installed on Windows computers and an internet browser version of VMG
started development in 2019. The new VMG Online Services portal is being built in stages, with regular
product releases being made available to the market and the entire eco system is expected to be
completely migrated into an online environment by the end 2024.

Our financial model is simple. We bill an upfront fee for setup and training and then charge a monthly
amount for the use of the software. The monthly amount includes all future system updates, unlimited
users per database and world class system support.
