This challenge is exclusively for those brave souls who enjoy being on the front lines delivering world class service and support.
This is a role that will result in you only being in the office in the morning and late afternoons. The rest
of the time it involves you visiting 2, 3 or even 4 dealers a day in specific areas. After calling them to see
if it is cool if you can pop in to say hi.
We work from 08:00 till 16:30 on weekdays but may from time to time go beyond the call of duty for our
clients and users.
This is a basic salary position with handsome commissions and rapid basic salary growth. Petrol is also
included up to a certain level. Cell phone allowance depends on a few factors, but we can discuss that
the moment it becomes a pain point. The money is the easy part.
It takes an average of 6-12 months to start to get a proper feel of this position so it needs someone who
is patient, has a genuine love for helping people, learns fast and understands that this is a process that
takes time and only gets better every day.

help us achieve that for you and our training to help deliver excellence never ends. As your proficiency grows, so will your income.
When working in the public arena, have fun and be serious about it. We are professionals first and
foremost, but we are incredibly personable.
Be a very happy person and focus intently on the tasks at hand and get the job done as quickly as possible while still maintaining the highest levels of quality. Be relaxed and always be honest even if this is uncomfortable
from time to time.
Smile a lot and make eye contact while doing so. Shake hands every time you arrive and leave with all your clients and their staff. Introduce yourself confidently until you do not need an introduction anymore and can switch over to warm greetings and loud entrances.
These are some of the most important aspects of this job because we are in the people business and people love a confident and happy person.
Build a sincere relationship with all the owners and key staff at the dealerships. VMG looks after the
admin and accounting software for their multi-million-rand organizations. They need to know we always
have their best interests at heart.
Make sure that all their VMG needs are catered for. Installs, latest version updates, training, identify
areas we can save/make dealers money, check report quality and much more.
Study and educate yourself to become a master of our art in admin and accounting matters. We will
help you but ultimately it is up to you to get good and get things done.
Provide demos to dealers that want to see VMG. You will shadow your team leader for the first few
demos.
Keep checking on dealers who have not seen a VMG demo yet. Get dealers to see demos. Demos =
sales. Sales = commissions.
Grow your name and reputation in the used car trade as a trusted member of the trade. This will take
time, but you have a duty to develop a most positive reputation in the trade.
Remember, that people need to like and trust you and this is best achieved by first seeking to understand, then to be understood and ensure that you are efficient and effective in your business to business dealings with others.
- Install VMG at customers who want to start using VMG. (Technical computer work.)
- Train users on how to use VMG using VMG’s proven processes (beware).
- Keep checking in on users until you know they are 100% ok.
Upsell VMG products where you can see they will provide real benefit to the dealer or his/her staff.
Keep internal VMG admin systems up to date with latest user data such as cell numbers, emails and
removing users that are no longer at the dealership.
Provide communication via email with all users before every version release informing them on what
they can expect in the next version.
