The most basic use case of VMG WMS Pro #

This is designed to test your ability to process a JobCard and Counter Sale in WMS Pro.

If you can pass this, you are able to assist the Frontline and Support with basic WMS Pro user training. To really shine, display competence, comprehension and understand of advanced Workshop knowledge, business management and process flows related to the successful management of a Workshop.

The test below requires a 100% pass mark.

TASKS 

  #
  1. Create a booking for a client that is coming in on 24 September 2026, Client name is Kendall Adams, drives a P300 GWM reg number KENDZGP. Car is coming in for a 15,000 km service.
  2. Print the screen that booking and save it as “Booking Kendzgp”
  3. Convert that booking into a job card
  4. Mileage on the Job card must be 14,565 km , the main technician should be Gary Knight, and the service advisor needs to be Megan Venter
  5. Save the job card and save it as “KENDZGP JOB 1”
  6. Cost the job card with the following:
    1. Job Type – Service
    2. Add Oil and Spark plugs to the job card. You do NOT have them in stock, so you will need to create the parts master and order them into stock. The supplier can be Midas.
      1. Oil part code must be 123OIL-[YOUR INTIALS E.G: AG] – Order 100 Liters.
      2. Spark plugs part code must be 123SPARK-[YOUR INTIALS E.G: AG] – Order 8 of them
    3. Add the parts onto the job card.
      1. Oil 5 liters.
      2. Spark plugs 2.
    4. Add consumables of R350.00.
    5. Add a sundry line for Diagnostics for R550.
    6. Add 2 labour lines
      1. The technician assigned to spark plug replacement must be Gary Knight, at a retail labour rate of R550 per hour.
      2. The technician assigned to the 15,000 km service must be John Smith, at a retail labour rate of R650 per hour.
    7. Add a sublet order for a windscreen, supplier will be “PG Autoglass”, add a R500 markup on it. The cost price is R1000.00.
    8. This job card is a service plan job card, BUT the client is paying for the windscreen. Split the job card and make the service plan company “GWM SERVICE PLAN”.
  7. Create and Save Documents
    1. Save the estimate invoices and name them “KENDZGP1” and “KENDZGP2”.
    2. Invoice this job card out and save them “KENDZGP01 and “KENDZGP02”.
    3. Save the profit and Loss sheet and save it as “KENDZGPPL”.
  8. Record the client payment against the job card.
  9. Create a cash sale invoice for “Alan Green”, for 2 x Spark plugs , display a 10% discount the total must be R125.00
  10. Save This as “ALANGREEN”.
  11. Credit note the counter sale but only return 1 spark plug.
  12. Credit note the Service plan invoice and import the job card and re-invoice it for me under “SA SERVICE PLAN”. Save its as “KENDZGPV2”.
  13. Create a parts order for Spark plugs from supplier “Goldwagen” and order 5 spark plugs.
  14. Credit that order and return 3 spark plugs.
  15. Stock adjust the spark plugs so they show 6 in stock.
  16. Print the history of that part and save it as “SparkplugH”.
  17. Generate a Full stats report and save it as “Fullstats”.
  18. Generate a labour report so I can see Gary and John labour for this month and save it as “Labour”.
  19. Generate a parts valuation report and save it as “Partsval”.
  20. Generate ONLY a parts sales report and save it as “PARTSSALES”.
