This section is intended to help you develop your VMG WMS product knowledge. 

There is no specific order. Your goal is to answer as many questions as you can.  

  1. Describe the process, from demo to go live, you would use to onboard a new WMS client.
  2. What is your primary objective on day 1 of user training?
  3. When training at a workshop begins, how does your time management differ from that of a dealership in terms of your training program?
  4. Talk me through the life cycle of a car through a workshop
  5. Talk me through the life cycle of a client through a workshop
  6. List the system navigation tabs in order in WMS and describe what each tab does?
  7. How do I set the order number and job card number sequence in WMS?
  8. What is a sublet?
  9. A dealership has a dealership and a workshop, and they service their own cars. Describe what is needed to be done to ensure that internal orders can be created by the Dealership and job cards opened from those orders in the workshop.
  10. Describe the accounting effects when ordering work internally and invoicing internally.
  11. When are stock adjustments used and where in WMS can this be done?
  12. How is it possible for a workshop to show negative parts stock?
  13. When might it be acceptable for a workshop to go into negative stock?
  14. Talk me through your method of conducting a stock take at a workshop?
  15. What are the primary things to check to assess the health of a workshop database?
  16. Which report shows me the profit I have made in my workshop?

  43. I am a new WMS customer. I have 10 000 parts that I must load into the system, do I have to manually load them? Is there a fast way? Explain.
  44. If I have too much stock of a specific item, how do I prevent my staff from ordering more?
  45. I want to ensure that any sublet work I order is automatically marked up by 20%, how do I do this?
  46. I must add a markup on an individual part, how do I do this?
  47. I have a part number; my supplier uses a different number for that part. How do I ensure that I use my suppliers part number for that part the next time I order that part from them?
  48. I want to send my customer an SMS to let him know his car is ready for collection. How do I do this?
  49. How do I tell which makes and models of vehicles have the most profit for my workshop?
  50. I want my technicians to start a timer when they start a job and stop the timer when they stop working on that job. What are my options and how do I set this up?
